Aimed at providing the only non-profit making scheme in the UK, The Persula Foundation part-funded the first year of the confidence building workshop sessions at Kidscape's London office. Tailored towards children who have been bullied or who are bullies, who are experiencing the resulting emotional and social difficulties. The aim is to improve the children's feelings of self-worth and negate their feelings of vulnerability, low self-esteem and the very real risk of offending or self-harm.

The course named 'Zap' teaches children a variety of strategies including stress management, voice projection, assertiveness training, body language and relaxation exercises. It also allows children to meet others in similar situations. It provides telephone support and offers them the chance of becoming involved in Kidscape's ongoing letter network scheme to access friends who have similar problems.
